My Portfolio

As an illustrator-for-hire, I have experience creating the following:

Additionally, I make and distribute my own comics and original works of art in the form of zines, chapbooks, prints, postcards, and stickers.

HASAAN HATES PORTLAND

I designed the art for Season 1 of the beloved 2024 web series HASAAN HATES PORTLAND (created by Mischa Webley). Mischa and show star Hasaan Thomas were incredibly giving collaborators, allowing me full creative control over my images. For my contribution I utilized a mix of styles, directly referencing many iconic comic artists, and imagery from popular culture, always centering the fictionalized Hasaan as he struggles through life in a predominantly white city.

STEPHEN KING’S MOST UNDERRATED

In 2024, my YouTube partner Michael Sean and I released our most ambitious video to date — STEPHEN KING’S FIVE MOST UNDERRATED NOVELS. Coming in at over 13 minutes in length, with 35 unique illustrations all created by me, this video took us several months of research and production to pull off, but it is by far our favorite video essay that we’ve made so far. 40,000 unique views and counting.

VBKLLR (our YouTube Channel)

Pronounced “vibe-killer”, the VBKLLR channel focuses on comics and written works of fiction. To date we only have a handful of videos, but I am extremely proud of our YouTube channel, and all the work we’ve put into it. Here are a few more of my favorite images that I’ve created for the page.

I am a cofounder and educator at 4ARTSAKE, a Portland nonprofit that provides resources, education, and opportunities to local artists. During the development of our organization, I created all of our graphic design, wrote the bulk of our public-facing copy, and built our Website.
